Regional Sales Directors
Medsphere® is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and seasoned healthcare information technology sales professional to join the Medsphere team as a Regional Sales Director. The position of Regional Sales Director reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is responsible for identifying, qualifying and selling Medsphere's OpenVista® electronic health record products to new name hospital and clinic clients. The Regional Sales Director is also responsible for the following key sales activities: territory management (including pipeline maintenance and territory analysis), initiating and maintaining internal and external client relationships and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitors. Medsphere is seeking a sales professional with experience in: large healthcare technology sales ($1,000,000+ average sale); long sales cycles (1+ years); technology knowledge; strategic and tactical sales planning skills; selling at high levels (CIO, CFO level); and exceeding large quotas ($6,000,000+). Territories in the south central and eastern United States are available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience and successful sales track record with healthcare IT vendor required
- Ability to travel extensively (50%+)
Support Analyst
Work in a support role to provide telephone and online support within the client infrastructure regarding the Medsphere applications and services. The position will be a San Diego based opportunity and require nights and weekends availability. Minimal travel is also required.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and answers the Medpshere Support telephone and e-mail
- Enters the appropriate information concerning issues in the support call tracking database
- Evaluates all technical issues and, if required, refers them to the appropriate application specialist or development personnel
- Refers policy issues to the Lead Support Analyst for clarification and/or escalation to management
- Refers change request issues to the Lead Support Analyst for escalation to management
- Monitors client databases to ensure stability and integrity of the system
- Resolves customer issues using proven troubleshooting techniques
- Provides customer with the resolution of the issue(s) and obtains closure of the call
- Escalates unattainable solutions to the Lead Support Analyst for resolution and/or escalation
- Provides appropriate reports to management
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of policies, practices, issues, priorities, and concerns of internal and external customers
- Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately within a wide range of audiences
- Limited knowledge of the overall OpenVista system, including operating systems and its software applications (VPN, NOIS, ADTFiler, HL7, Kernel, FileMan, CPRS, Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology, Imaging, Dietetics, etc.)
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
Clinician Quality Audit Specialist
Support Medsphere Systems Corporation's Quality Assurance team to ensure electronic healthcare record system applications meet quality control standards. Perform all duties in accordance with Medsphere Systems Corporation company policies and procedures and conformance testing of the applications against affected state and federal health regulations.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Determine feasibility of creating test plans and test cases against written clinical workflow and business requirements and functional specifications.
- Create clinical software test plans and author test cases based on risk assessment and requirements prioritization.
- Execute test plans in conformance to the organization's QA process, methodologies, and choice of tools.
- Conduct integration, functional acceptance, and regression testing using black box or white box testing approach as necessary.
- Collaborate with development and subject matter experts to have defects and product ease-of-use issues addressed.
- Support User Acceptance Testing efforts prior to release to Production.
- Perform quality audits and inspections to identify and build in continuous process improvement opportunities within the software development life cycle.
- Routinely inform functional and project managers by providing audit reports indicating the results of inspection and product stability including recommendations concerning the release of the product.
- Manage project tasks, schedules, scope change and deadlines to eliminate constraints and ensure that company needs are met.
Essential knowledge & skills

- Expert working knowledge of testing healthcare record system application.
- Excellent working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
- Understanding of the clinical workflow environment in acute care clinical settings
- Proficient working knowledge of integration, functional acceptance, and regression testing.
- Proficient working knowledge of automated testing tools, change management tracking, and source/version control systems.
- Ability to conduct effective informational interviews of both internal and external customers by constructively listening and interpreting user needs
- Ability to schedule, track and report on all aspects of a project

- Working knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and guidelines

Education and/or experience
- Certification or College Training in the area of Nursing
- Minimum 1+ years experience testing healthcare system application or corresponding experience as a nurse, clinician or dietician
- Working knowledge of Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), Medsphere's OpenVista product, or any other healthcare electronic record systems a plus
- Automation experience a plus
- Familiarity with CMMI, Six Sigma methodologies a plus
- Proficiency in Configuration Management methodologies a plus
