Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County (MHSC) - a 99-bed, rural acute care facility in Rock Springs, Wyoming - selects OpenVista® as part of a major facility renovation.
Medsphere releases the source code for its OpenVista® electronic health record (EHR) platform in new server and client-side community editions. The announcement marks the launch of Medsphere's efforts to gather an open source community around its platform and accelerate EHR adoptions by providing a low-cost VistA-based alternative with opportunities for collaborative development.

2006 October
Medsphere prepares for growth and expands senior management team. Rusty Lewis is appointed as Senior Vice President for Engineering and Development and Chief Technology Officer; Denean K. Rivera as Senior Vice President for Client Services and Strategic Partnerships; and Kathy Doub-English as Vice President for Product Management. They join Dr. Kizer, Mike Shannahan, Chief Financial Officer, and Frank Pecaitis, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing to round out the management team.
